Johnny Lanzillo IV received his undergraduate degree in History from the University of North Texas. Prior to attending North Texas he played baseball at Christian Brothers University in Memphis, TN. He is a graduate of Texas Wesleyan University School of Law (now Texas A&M School of Law), and is licensed to practice in the State of Texas.
While in law school, Johnny was a member of the Texas Wesleyan Negotiation and ADR Travel Team, and has competed in competitions across the country, including winning the American Bar Association’s Regional Negotiation Championship in Dallas, and earning an invite to the ABA National Championship in New Orleans.
He also participated as a practicing student attorney working with the law school’s Family Law Clinic, and was a team leader with the Texas Wesleyan Innocence Project.
Johnny is a member of the National College of DUI Defense, Texas Bar Association, and the Dallas and Tarrant County Bar Associations. He is admitted to practice law in Federal Court in the Northern and Eastern Districts of Texas. In addition, Johnny volunteers for the Dallas Volunteer Attorney Program, where he handles family law cases. Johnny was also voted Top 10 in Client Satisfaction in the State of Texas for DWI attorneys.
Prior to co-founding Peter & Lanzillo, Johnny was an associate at Stanley & Associates where he was a member of the Criminal Defense team, while also working on Family Law cases with the the firm. Johnny was also law clerk supervisor and was a member of the hiring committee.
Johnny is a trained mediator, and does special work in sports law.
Johnny is also a candidate for Judge in Dallas County for Court of Criminal Appeals No. 2.
